A homeowner researches online, finds an attractive price, and ends up with a system that either locks them into ongoing costs they didn't anticipate — or worse, a cheap import with no verifiable certification that fails within two years and leaves them chasing a company that's difficult to contact and offers little in the way of support.

We publish our full scoring methodology, our data sources, and the reasons behind every score. If we can't verify a certification claim, we say so. If a supplier's score drops, we explain why. You should never have to take our word for it — the evidence is always there to check for yourself.
